ABOUT THE COMPANY

      Born Tempie Jane Courington in 1928, Jane, as she was known among family members,  was the oldest daughter in a family of 11 siblings.  So needless to say, from an early age she had to learn how to take charge and be a doer.  Growing up on a farm, Jane knew how to do all kinds of things from milking the cows and churning butter to sewing on a button. This ability to “cross train,” as we call it today, served her well later in life.  In her late teens and early twenties, she worked for the local newspaper; it is there she would meet her soon-to-be husband, Frank “Dodie” Gibson.

  While working for the newspaper, Jane’s entrepreneurial spirit began to blossom.  In the late 40s, it was unheard of for a woman to own a business, but that didn’t stop her from encouraging her husband to take the knowledge they had gained from working together in the local newspaper and start their own printing business. This was back before digital printing, and home office printers, and large chain office supply and printing stores.  For over 30 years Jane and Dodie built and ran Gibson Printing. During that time, there wasn’t a moment where Jane wasn’t impeccably dressed, hair and nails done, and beautiful jewels to boot.  And THAT is where my inspiration begins……
